The Republic of Albania (Republika e Shqipërisë) issued its first stamps of since December 2021 on 30 March 2022. However, these — and succeeding releases have all borne the year date of 2021. It seemed odd to view a new release last month with the Endangered National Wildlife theme of the 2021 Europa stamps until one remembered last Spring’s COVID-19 surge in many nations worldwide, my own included. Thus, Albanian Post S.A. (Posta Shqiptare) is catching up on those it was unable to release then due to various local pandemic restrictions.
