On December 30, 2020 the State Committee of Information Technology and Communications of the Kyrgyz Republic puts into circulation a Kyrgyz Express Post postage stamp: “Stop COVID-19!”.

In 2020, all countries of the world, including Kyrgyzstan, faced a crisis of unprecedented magnitude, caused by the spread of the Coronavirus infection COVID-19. The pandemic has been a huge challenge for the world’s health services, which are facing the need to provide emergency care to millions of people.

The negative consequences of the pandemic cannot be overemphasized, but it must be recognized that it has given rise to many examples of human solidarity, selflessness and heroic performance of professional duty.

Overcoming of the global health and economic crisis requires the involvement of every person and organization in the fight against the pandemic. KEP is pleased to contribute to this fight by issuing a special postage charitable stamp, every 50 KGS from the sale of which will be transferred to the Public Charitable Foundation “Help the Children – SKD” to fight COVID-19.

For this stamp, KEP also issues a postcard, which is used to realize a maximum card.

An important note about the FDC. I did purchase some from a dealer in Thailand who claimed to have bought the entire stock of 250 FDC’s. In June 2021 the website posted this notice. Which basically explains that they have produced more since that run, without informing anyone. So the exact number of FDC’s produced is unclear now. But its probably a lot more than 250.
Here is the original link and I have copied the text below as well since the link will probably expire at some point.

Official statement about “Stop COVID-19” FDC print run
    17 June 2021

    Dear friends,
With this message, we would like to make an official statement about the following situation. On December 30, 2020, we issued the “Stop COVID-19” stamp. As usual, we have prepared a first day cover with a print run of 250 copies. Due to the subsequent New Year’s holidays, we did not notice how in the early days all the copies were completely sold out (mainly due to a large purchase of a dealer). This is the first time we have encountered such a situation.
Wishing to satisfy the requests of our regular customers, we have reprinted these FDCs, unfortunately, without notifying our customers about it. We apologize for this. In a future situation like this, we will clearly indicate the reprinted envelopes/cards and report their reprinting.
In the nearest future we will notify the main stamp catalogues which include information on FDCs.
If, after reading the above information you would like to return the FDCs mentioned, please write to us at

Update: The FDCs were reprinted in an amount which was necessary to meet the needs of our regular customers. In this regard, the additional print run will not be published in order to protect commercially sensitive information. No distinctive features were made on additional print run items.
