From October-December 2020 issue of Thailand Post Stamp Catalogue:

The National Day, one of the most important holidays in Thailand, was originally on June 24 because the Siamese coup d’état of 1932 by the People’s Party. That date was formally announced to be the National Day in 1938.  The first stamp collection to commemorate the National Day was published on June 24, 1939, unfortunately, its future release was on hiatus for 78 years.  The following collection was rolled out in 2017 thereafter, and it has been released every year since.  Afterward, the date of National Day was changed to December 5, the same date where Father’s Day is also celebrated.

This year’s collection is a display of a large Thai flag waving gracefully above a stadium which represents the nation’s unity.  This photo was given by courtesy of The Football Association of Thailand under Patronage of His Majesty the King.
