NOTE: This post has been removed as it was originally published on 8 October 2020. Subsequent releases have rendered  it woefully out-of-date. This old post has also been “shared” numerous times without permission or credit.

In late April 2021, I began working on a new version — illustrated and removing the various “illegal” and personalized items. However, due to the worsening situation here in Thailand, I have suspended work on it.

The pandemic has produced a great amount of heartache with loss or work, illness, and death. Many of the related stamps in both 2020 and 2021 have simply been created to “cash-in” on gullible collectors without any benefit to those working with the virus each and every day. Many collectors have also “glorified” these stamps to the point that they have forgotten the tragedy they represent.

That being said, there HAVE been some interesting releases on this theme that do benefit front-line workers. It will take some time to separate the bad from the good and perhaps that is a job better left for when the pandemic is but a very distant bad memory. These stamps are not going anywhere but this is not the right time to deal with them….
