Mohamed Bourouissa is an artist born in 1978 in Blida, Algeria. Biography He obtained his DEA in Plastic Arts at the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, in 2004. He is also a graduate of the National Graduate School of Decorative Arts, specializing in photography.
Since 2002, he has been regularly invited to participate in group exhibitions. His work was presented at the Lianzhou International Photography Festival (China) in 2006. Since 2005, he has been inspired by the everyday life of pictorial references such as Caravaggio, Delacroix, Géricault, which he particularly likes, and photographic ones like Jeff Wall or Philip-Lorca diCorcia, are seen as paintings of contemporary allegories or urban myths. He is the winner of the 2007 Ways Off Award, Arles.
