On 29 May 2020, UNPA will issue a special event sheet to honour the International Day of United Nations Peacekeepers – a day to pay tribute to our uniformed and civilian personnel.

This year marks the 20th Anniversary of the UN Security Council Resolution on Women, Peace and Security and this year’s theme is “Women in Peacekeeping: A Key to Peace.”

The sheet is composed of ten US$ 1.20 denominated stamps featuring images of UN Peacekeeping services around the world. The tabs of the stamps have the United Nations logo and may be personalized.

The text on the stamp sheet reads as follows:

UN Peacekeeping helps countries navigate the difficult path from conflict to peace. We have unique strengths, including legitimacy, burden sharing, and an ability to deploy troops and police from around the world, integrating them with civilian peacekeepers to address a range of mandates set by the UN Security Council and General Assembly.

“Women in Peacekeeping: A Key to Peace.”
