Sacred Heart College 125th Anniversary
CORREOS DE EL SALVADOR LAUNCHES POSTAL STAMP ALLUDING TO THE “125TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE SACRED HEART COLLEGE”
San Salvador, January 6, 2020. The General Directorate of Posts, a unit of the Ministry of Interior and the Sacred Heart School, launched the allusive Postal Stamp for the “125th anniversary of the founding of the Sacred Heart School.”
The event was chaired by Mr. Roberto Barahona, General Inspector of Posts of El Salvador; Sister Nydia Eugenia Ramos, Director General; Lic. Janet Saumira Coto, Assistant Director; Lic. Marisol del Carmen Rivas de Belloso, academic coordinator; Sister Margarita Peña, Superior General and Sister María Alejandrina Zúñiga, provincial general.
The launch of the Postal Stamp was carried out within the framework of the 125th anniversary of the foundation of the school, which is celebrated on January 6 and in the celebration of the bicentenary of the birth of Blessed Luisa Teresa, founder of the Oblates of the Heart of Jesus.
“It is a privilege for the Post Office of El Salvador to be part of this celebration, so I want to thank wholeheartedly the staff of the Sacred Heart College for allowing us to make this seal together and congratulate them for their work in the institution as educators, and continue to forge women and men of good for our society, ”said Mr. Roberto Barahona, Inspector General of Posts of El Salvador.
The Commemorative Seal will be placed in the correspondence and will be found in the 137 post offices throughout El Salvador, reaching 191 countries that make up the Universal Postal Union -UPU-, of which Correos is part.
