Lida — The Cultural Capital of Belarus 2020

A new original envelope will be released
On February 19, the Ministry of Communications and Information of the Republic of Belarus will release an original envelope “Lida – the cultural capital of Belarus 2020”.
The nominal “A” corresponds to the sending tariff of an ordinary letter weighing up to 20 g on the territory of the Republic of Belarus.
The envelope and special souvenir will be prepared by stylist artist Tatiana Dolskaya and design by Yelena Medvedeva.
The envelope is intended for 20,000 copies.
On February 19, post office 11 in Grodno region will have a special hijacking on the first day envelope.
Lida is one of the historical and cultural centers of the Grodno region. It is a modern city with a rich history of 100,000 and is called the pearl of Grodno. Archaeological research shows that the city was officially founded in 1323. Located in Grodno, this city is one of the oldest cities in Belarus and was declared Belarus’s cultural capital by 2020.
