On January 9, 2020 the Ministry of Communications and Informatization of the Republic of Belarus will issue 4 stamps “Wild baby animals” of the series “Children philately”.
A sheetlet is also issued. Sheetlet composition: 8 (2 sets) stamps. Sheetlet size: 142×76 mm. Print quantity: 8.000 sheetlets.

Fox cubs are born small (weighing 100-150 grams), deaf and blind, but after 3-4 weeks they can see and hear. They weigh about a kilogram and leave the hole. Adult foxes are very attached to their children. They selflessly meet the danger and try to divert it from the den.

Wolf cubs are born blind and deaf. They weigh 300-500 grams. For the first time they leave the den after 3 weeks. During the first four months of life their weight can increase by almost 30 times. Females become fully grown by the age of two, and males by the age of three.

Bear cubs at birth are very small, weighing only 500 grams. They spend the first months of their life in the den with their mother. Little cubs are very meek and obedient; they stay near the she-bear for two years. The older cubs born last year help to look after the younger ones.

Newborn lynx kitten are blind and helpless, weighing about 300 grams. They open their eyes only on the 12th-14thday of life. The upbringing of kittens is carried out by both parents, which protect them, teach them how to get food and hide from enemies.

A special cancellation on FDC will be carried out at the post office No.1 of Minsk (shop “Philately”, 16 Moskovskaya street) on the stamps issuing day. Special postmark and FDC painted by A.Mityanin, designed by M.Yurchik.
